Falkland Festival 2008
In 2008 Lomond United were asked if they would host the annual 5 a side football tournament for the Falkland Festival to be held in the grounds of Falkland House.
Having readily accepted the invitation we started organising for the two night event in June.
The first night saw 20 adult teams compete with the Edinburgh based Scottish Water team lifting
the trophy. The following night it was the turn of the youth teams with 12 teams battling it
out in the grounds.
The Falkland Festival has become an annual event with many people attending the various events organised by enthusiasts and local clubs.
2009's festival was from the 19th to the 28th of June and Lomond United were again involved with the football side of the event.
