Lomond United are proud to unveil the new Lomond Hills Pitch.
After weeks of wrangling over the previous site near the palace the team's manager Alex Simpson
said that he had taken advantage of a recent windfall to secure the ground for the new pitch.
He admitted that his team might gain an advantage from training on the new pitch.
Especially from improved fitness levels and the new keepy up skills to be gained.
Asked about the trees on the pitch he said it would be no different from playing the Vics.
A spokesman for Fife Council said she had no objections as no leveling or re profiling of the
landscape was involved and that the club's new toilet and changing facilities in the
trees by the goals was a vast improvement on the portocabin proposed for the old Tyndall Bruce Park.
The first game on the new Lomond Hills Pitch is set for the first day of April next year,
weather permitting, although flooding is not expected to be a problem, said some wag.
Manager Alex Simpson said that he was proud of what he and his hard working
committee had achieved in a short space of time and that he would also like to
thank Fife Council for all their support.
